New confectionery shop opens

The Sweet Trail, a new confectionery shop which opened in Wadebridge this May, is offering a wonderful experience with a retro feel.

Situated in Cedar Barns, along Eddystone Road, owner Sam has many years of experience, working extensively in the industry where she learnt what it takes to make a successful confectionery business. The Sweet Trail offers one of the best selections of retro sweets and old fashioned favourites, with sugar free and vegetarian sweets also on offer, along with cut and serve and gift packaged fudge, supplied by Buttermilk Confections. Both vegan fudge and sweets are an option too, so there is something for everyone! Furniss biscuits are on display in boxes, drums and snack packs. Cornish ice cream, supplied by Gibsons of Looe is served from the purpose-built ice cream station, with vegan and dog friendly tubs also available.

The shop’s beautiful counters and shelves are all made from reclaimed scaffold boards and house chocolate from Trenance (near Helston) and Jolly's drinks of varying flavours (also Cornish). Sam is very much looking forward to serving both local and visiting customers to her new shop.
