Brighten someone’s Christmas with Santa for a Senior

St Breock Residential Home near Wadebridge is asking the community to consider buying a gift for one of their residents this Christmas.

While we get ready for the most wonderful time of the year, Santa for a Senior - a Cornwall Care home initiative which has been rolled out across their homes this year - is appealing for gifts from the community to give to the residents of St Breock Residential Home.

The aim of the initiative is simple: people can contact St Breock to let them know they’d like to take part in Santa for a Senior, and they’ll be assigned a resident, which will then provide a good idea of what sort of gift to buy. The gift will then be handed to a resident on Christmas morning for them to open, putting a smile on the residents’ faces.

A spokesperson from St Breock Residential Home said: “We posted the advert on Love Wadebridge and had a fantastic response, all our residents got more than one gift last year. As a home we always fundraise to buy each of our residents a Christmas present too, but anything they can open, however small, makes all the difference. We just like to be able to give each of our residents the best Christmas, especially after the last couple of years.”

If you would like to give a present to a resident at St Breock Residential Home this Christmas, email stbreock.home@cornwallcare.org or call 01208 812 246. Gifts should be handed into the home by 1st December.
